Job summary

Qualifications

  • Ability to complete Vermeer Assembly Training.
  • Ability to complete a specified number of tasks in a certain amount of time repeatedly.
  • Ability to consistently meet quality expectations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Follow provided job instructionss to assemble equipment and subassemblies for attachment to equipment per Vermeer's quality standards.
  • Align components and bolts then fasten them according to torque specifications, install moving parts and test to ensure parts move as intended.
  • Inspect painted parts to ensure quality.
  • Apply decals, company logos, safety warning notices and other items to the finished product. May also attach doors, panels and other machine guarding.
  • Calculate figures and apply basic mathematical functions including fractions and decimals.
  • Support 5S/workplace organization goals of the department and offers suggestions and makes improvements that assist in achieving the department’s performance board metrics.
