Job summary

Vermeer is seeking a dedicated team member for first shift assembly work to build machines for customers across the globe. You will follow digital instructions to assemble equipment and subassemblies, ensuring alignment with Vermeer’s quality standards and customer needs.

You will work with a team to meet throughput targets while maintaining safety and precision. The role requires accuracy, collaboration, and the ability to follow established processes and torque specifications.

Responsibilities

• Follow provided job instructions to assemble equipment and subassemblies per Vermeer quality standards.
• Align components and bolts; fasten per torque specifications and test movement of parts.
• Inspect painted parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Apply decals, logos, safety notices and other items to the finished product; attach doors/panels as needed.
• Perform basic calculations using fractions and decimals to support assembly tasks.
• Support 5S/workplace organization goals and contribute improvements to the department's metrics.

Job Summary

In this role you will follow digital instructions to perform a variety of skills and tasks as you work with a team to ensure high quality work that meets our customers' needs. We’re looking for a dedicated team player to build machines for customers across the globe.

What You’ll Do

1. 1. Follow provided job instructionss to assemble equipment and subassemblies for attachment to equipment per Vermeer's quality standards.
2. 2. Align components and bolts then fasten them according to torque specifications, install moving parts and test to ensure parts move as intended.
3. 3. Inspect painted parts to ensure quality.
4. 4. Apply decals, company logos, safety warning notices and other items to the finished product. May also attach doors, panels and other machine guarding.
5. 5. Calculate figures and apply basic mathematical functions including fractions and decimals.
6. 6. Support 5S/workplace organization goals of the department and offers suggestions and makes improvements that assist in achieving the department’s performance board metrics.
