Job summary

Valmont Industries currently seeks a dedicated Fabricator in the Composite department to manufacture and repair centrifugally cast composite shafts for light pole products in Estill, SC. You will follow customer specs, inspect work, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include reading production orders, setting up equipment, measuring parts, and assisting with process improvements. The role requires attention to detail and ability to work standing for long periods in a

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Proficient with tape measure and hand tools.
Able to read and follow production drawings and orders.
Proficient math up to fractions and percentages.

Responsibilities

Select the proper shafts & set up per production orders.
Check and repair surface imperfection.
Review shop drawings for accuracy, drill and cut holes to meet customer requirements.
Clean and prepare the pole surface for further manufacturing processes.
Regularly inspect parts for quality using measuring instruments.
Troubleshoot and correct operational and quality problems.
Follow safety regulations and SOPs; train less experienced personnel.
