Job summary

Vermeer in Moonville, SC, is seeking an assembly team member to build equipment for customers worldwide. You will follow digital instructions to assemble machines, align parts, and fasten components, testing movement and applying decals for a finished product.

You must complete Vermeer Assembly Training, consistently meet quality targets, and collaborate with teammates. This is a first-shift, on-site role with no travel expectations.

Responsibilities

• Follow provided job instructions to assemble equipment and subassemblies for attachment to equipment per Vermeer's quality standards.
• Align components and bolts then fasten them according to torque specifications, install moving parts and test to ensure parts move as intended.
• Inspect painted parts to ensure quality.
• Apply decals, company logos, safety warning notices and other items to the finished product.
• May also attach doors, panels and other machine guarding.
• Calculate figures and apply basic mathematical functions including fractions and decimals.
• Support 5S/workplace organization goals of the department and offers suggestions and makes improvements that assist in achieving the department’s performance board metrics.
