Job summary

Nidec is seeking a Precision Assembler to accurately assemble electric motor components in line with engineering specifications and production requirements. This role demands strong attention to detail and the ability to work with small parts under tight tolerances.

Responsibilities include assembling motors and subassemblies using hand tools, torque tools, presses, gauges and fixtures; verifying parts and tolerances; performing in-process inspections; and reporting defects.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0–2 years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Job Description

The Precision Assembler is responsible for assembling various products according to engineering specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble electrical motors and subassemblies using detailed work instructions, drawings, and specifications
  • Perform precision mechanical and electrical assembly of components such as rotors, stators, shafts, bearings, windings and housings
  • Use hand tools, torque tools, presses, gauges, and fixtures to complete assembly tasks
  • Verify parts, orientation, and tolerances to ensure proper motor function
  • Perform in-process inspections and final checks to ensure assemblies meet quality standards
  • Identify and report defects, nonconforming parts, or process issues
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation (6S standards)
Requirements
