Job summary

Flowserve US Inc in Loveland, Ohio is seeking a Precision Assembler to prepare assembly work and documentation, and to assemble equipment and tools while performing test requirements. This role also covers disassembly, cleaning, inspecting and reassembly during repairs.

Access to modern materials and tools is provided to ensure high-quality products for customers. Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years of relevant workshop experience.
  • Experience with precision measuring tools.
  • Experience as a mechanic for rotating machines or general mechanical work.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly with peers and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing testing when required.
  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of inspection equipment and ensure all parts and assemblies are within specifications.
  • Ensure parts and components are clean prior to assembly and that assemblies are completed properly, following all procedures.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Operate precision measuring tools (micrometers, vernier calipers, CMM) and hand tools in a warehouse environment.
  • Engage in CIP activities and comply with Flowserve policies.
  • Handle shipping and receiving of packages.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within assembly to ensure accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Overview

Join the Loveland, Ohio Flowserve team! This site is part of the Pump Division, in particular, mechanical seals. The Precision Assembler will be responsible for the preparation of assembly work and documentation. This position will also assemble a variety of equipment and tools and perform test requirements. Additionally, the Precision Assembler will be responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, inspecting and reassembly during any repair process. This person will have access to the most modern materials and tools at our facility to accomplish these expectations to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product to our customers.

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing testing when required.
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of inspection equipment and ensure that all parts and assemblies are within specifications.
  • Ensure all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and that assemblies are completed properly, following all assembly procedures.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal safety equipment.
  • Operate precision measuring tools, such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and coordinate measuring machines, in a warehouse environment, as well as hand tools such as a hydraulic torque wrench and fire torch.
  • Operate CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) activities as needed and comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures.
  • Handle shipping and receiving of incoming and outgoing packages.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within assembly and ensure the work is completed accurately.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3–5 years of relevant workshop experience.
  • Experience with precision measuring tools.
  • Experience as a mechanic for rotating machines, mechanical devices, or as a general mechanic.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, technical drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly to peers, supervisors, and customers, demonstrating a customer‑service mindset for on‑time delivery and quality workmanship.
  • Basic mathematical skills including calculations of rates, ratios, percentages, and unit conversions.
  • Basic computer aptitude to use or learn data entry systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required on short notice.
  • Can stand for long periods and safely lift up to 50lbs.
  • Demonstrate behavior that promotes team building and continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills / Experience
  • Previous manufacturing or industrial experience.
  • General certificate of education or vocational training.
Pay & Benefits

Pay range: $20.63–$31.00per hour, based on experience.
