Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a Welder for its Quick Response Center to deliver high-quality, fast-turnaround repairs and components that keep customers' operations running. You will join a small team and work with machinists, assemblers, and your manager to solve mechanical problems under tight deadlines.

In this role you will use TIG, MIG, MAG, stick welding and other methods, set up parts from blueprints, and ensure workmanship meets our standards. Overtime may be required to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of welding experience in manufacturing or repair environments.
  • Ability to evaluate welding quality and workmanship.
  • Strong emphasis on on-time delivery and customer service.

Job description

Role Summary: As a Welder at Flowserve’s Quick Response Center, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, fast‑turnaround repairs and components that keep our customers’ critical operations running. You will join a skilled team of two other welders and collaborate closely with machinists, assemblers, and your manager to solve challenging mechanical problems under tight deadlines. Using TIG, MIG, MAG, stick, and other welding applications, you will help ensure our pumps and components meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and reliability. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact every day in a safety‑focused, customer‑driven environment.

First Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime Required)

Responsibilities
  • Select the appropriate welding method, including TIG, MIG, MAG, or stick
  • Plan and lay out work from blueprints and manufacturer specifications using shop math and precision measuring tools
  • Set up and operate a conventional lathe to prepare welded parts
  • Identify materials correctly and perform component preparation
  • Perform assembly tasks during production
  • Conduct welding repairs on raw and finished parts
  • Execute welding installations based on technical drawings
  • Complete all assigned welding work in accordance with operation instructions
  • Verify the quality of finished work and ensure compliance with specifications and workmanship standards
  • Meet production goals related to efficiency, schedules, and scrap
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process or equipment issues
  • Collaborate with machinists and assemblers to address repair and equipment challenges
  • Accurately record data in computer‑based systems or manual logs
  • Understand the flow of documents, materials, and parts through the repair or manufacturing process
  • Maintain a safe work environment by wearing required PPE, following all safety procedures, and completing training
  • Clean and maintain machines, tools, and an organized workspace
  • Perform heat‑treatment operations according to instructions or process documents
  • Carry out other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 5–7 years of relevant welding experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or repair environment
  • Ability to evaluate and discuss welding quality and workmanship
  • Strong customer‑service mindset focused on quality and on‑time delivery
  • Ability to stand for long periods; repetitive arm motions; frequent lifting with occasional lifts up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable attendance and dependability; ability to work overtime and weekends on short notice
  • Full‑time availability and overtime
Preferred
  • Welding experience in mechanical manufacturing or the valve industry
  • Welder certificate
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Post‑weld heat‑treatment experience
  • Good technical and mechanical understanding
  • SAP knowledge

Pay range: $30.82 - $46.24 per hour.
