Job summary

Daher’s Sandpoint, Idaho site specializes in hand-built Kodiak aircraft production, including painting, detailing and final finish. This role supports all phases of the aircraft paint process from layout through final detailing, ensuring safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

The Aircraft Paint Finish & Detail Technician performs masking, surface prep, decal installation, and finish inspections to deliver a professional, customer-ready appearance.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in aircraft painting or detailing, aerospace manufacturing, or related field.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, paint renderings, and specs.
• Experience with paint layout, masking, surface prep, decal installation, detailing, and finish inspection.
• Strong attention to detail and safety with paints, solvents, and coatings.

Responsibilities

• Paint layout, masking, stencil fabrication, surface prep, decal installation, detailing, and finish inspection.
• Apply primers, sealers, and corrosion protection coatings.
• Polish and protect interiors and exteriors; buff and polish surfaces as needed.
• Prepare aircraft for customer delivery presentations and inspections.
• Ensure quality records and documentation are completed.
