Job summary

The Equity, Dieterich location, is seeking an Agronomy Applicator to operate custom application equipment for precise fertilizer and chemical application. You will maintain equipment, assist with blending and delivery, scout fields and map soils, and communicate professionally with producers and team members.

You must hold a valid CDL Class A, maintain a good driving record, and obtain a pesticide license. The role involves fieldwork in variable weather and occasional travel between facilities

Qualifications

• Must have a good driving record.
• Must have a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a Class A.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with management and customers.
• Self-motivating personality and team-building skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Obtain a commercial pesticide license.

Responsibilities

• Operate fertilizer and ag chemicals through custom application equipment accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain daily equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Blending, mixing, delivering, loading and unloading fertilizer, ag chemicals, seed and merchandise as directed.
• Attend continuing education courses to maintain knowledge of products, regulations and customer relations.
• In off-season, assist with fleet repair/maintenance or manage truck fleet as directed by the location manager.
• Scout fields for weed and insect problems, take soil samples and make field maps.
• Communicate professionally with producers, sales staff and location manager.
