Job summary

Heartland Farms, Inc. is seeking an IT Network Engineer to design, build, and safeguard our distributed network spanning headquarters, farm sites, and processing facilities.

This role supports field operations with reliable connectivity for GPS-guided equipment, IoT sensors, and precision agriculture data. The ideal candidate will manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and hybrid cloud links, and will work across hybrid environments with on-site requirements.on-site with travel to rural

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years of experience in network administration or engineering, including routing, switching, and firewall management.
• Experience designing, deploying, and securing LAN/WAN and remote connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across office, farm sites, and processing facilities.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Maintain site-to-site VPNs and secure remote access for staff and field personnel.
• Support hybrid cloud connectivity and site-to-cloud links for business apps and data backup.
• Plan network upgrades and expansions for new sites or equipment rollouts.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, IP schemes, and asset inventories.
