Job summary

Mid-State Equipment, a full-service John Deere dealership in Columbus, WI, is seeking a customer support specialist to assist customers via phone, email and in-person visits for precision ag products and services.

You will diagnose hardware/software issues, install precision ag equipment at customer sites, and collaborate with Sales, Parts and Service teams. Occasional weekend work during planting/harvest seasons is required.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to problem solve by using all available resources (e.g. Service Advisor, Parts ADVISOR, DTAC/CCMS)
• Flexibility to travel to stores and customer locations when required
• Ability to use basic set of tools to install and diagnose precision ag problems
• Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
• Ability to use the dealer business system and other programs specific to the position

Responsibilities

• Provide effective solutions to customer needs via telephone, e-mail and other methods.
• Diagnose problems with precision hardware and software and provide solutions, over the phone or in person.
• Install and setup Precision Ag equipment at Mid-State Equipment and customer locations.
• Serve as an internal resource to assist in delivering accurate information to customers.
• Ensure interactions result in timely, effective solutions.
• Make outgoing calls to support department initiatives (Sales, Parts, Service, Integrated Solutions).
• Participate in ongoing training to grow technical knowledge and skills.
• Deliver training to customers and employees during off-season periods.
• Work on Saturdays/Sundays in planting/harvest seasons.
• Meet call volume and resolution targets.
• Follow Case Management requirements (problem/resolution).
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and follow safety rules.
• Complete all reports and forms required by assignments.
• Perform other duties as required.
