Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Production Assembler I to assemble aerospace components to customer specifications. You will build tube assemblies for weld and braze, trim and finish tubing, and read blueprints and travelers to meet layout dimensions.

Ideal candidates have excellent manual dexterity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with hand tools, measuring instruments, and safety protocols. You will collaborate with engineering and QA to resolve issues and ensure traceability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior manufacturing or machining experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Excellent manual dexterity and detail orientation.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments.
• Quality-focused with strong safety compliance.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to lift and move heavy components.
• Basic math skills and measurement practices.
• ITAR constraints apply; US person status required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aerospace components to customer specifications.
• Build and prepare tube assemblies for weld/braze with proper trimming.
• Read blueprints and travelers to meet layout dimensions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery for assembly.
• Inspect with calipers and micrometers to ensure conformance.
• Maintain traceability and record production activities.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA to resolve issues.
