Job summary

GWS Tool Group in Hartland, WI is seeking a 5-Axis CNC Operator on the 1st shift to produce premium carbide and HSS cutting tools using state-of-the-art CNC tooling. You will program, set up, operate, and inspect tools to ensure precision.

This role emphasizes reading blueprints, maintaining quality, and communicating issues to programmers and the General Manager. Prior 5-axis CNC setup or programming is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Machining certification ideal but not required.
• Well-rounded knowledge of cutting tools.
• 5-Axis CNC setup/operator experience preferred.
• Programming experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust offsets as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Inspect tools for defects using quality-control tools.
• Program and operate the CNC machine to produce tools.
• Evaluate finished parts for quality; report issues.
• Pull material for upcoming jobs as needed.
• Check machine daily to ensure proper function.
