Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Experience with insurance verification and authorization processes.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and clinical terminology.
• Excellent professional communication via email, phone, and in person.
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy clinic.

Responsibilities

• Track, obtain, and extend authorizations from carriers in a timely manner.
• Obtain complete insurance information and verify benefits.
• Review and correct insurance data as needed.
• Contact insurance companies to obtain precerts for procedures.
• Maintain files for all authorizations and denials.
• Coordinate with imaging schedulers, physicians, and staff.
• Assist patients with financial forms and payment plans.
• Answer phones and support front desk tasks.
