In this role, you will handle complex prior authorization tasks for patients receiving oral chemo medications. This is a great opportunity to expand your clinical and pharmacy knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Coordinate with departmental and clinical staff to ensure coverage and reimbursement for specialty pharmacy services, including complex and high-dollar prior authorizations, copay assistance, and patient support. Complete data elements efficiently and communicate effectively with clinical staff and patients to ensure timely, affordable medication access.

Responsibilities
  1. Expedite patient access to specialty medications by coordinating with providers, payors, and clinical teams to complete prior authorizations using medical record analysis and benefit investigations.
  2. Document all authorizations thoroughly, including expiration dates, appeal requirements, and follow-up actions.
  3. Verify existing pre-certifications and insurance eligibility through confirmatory checks.
  4. Collaborate with case management, payors, and manufacturer assistance programs to support patients facing financial challenges.
  5. Assist providers with prior authorization appeals and advise patients on pharmacy networks and alternative options.
