Job summary

United Employment Group, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist for our precast concrete manufacturing team. You will ensure products meet industry standards and project specs from raw materials to final shipment.

Responsibilities include inspecting materials, conducting tests per ASTM/NPCA, monitoring batch designs, and maintaining calibration records. You will train staff and prepare for third‑party audits as needed.

Qualifications

2+ years of quality control experience in precast concrete or related manufacturing.
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification (Grade I) required or obtainable within 60/90 days.
NPCA QC certification preferred.
Knowledge of ASTM standards relevant to precast (e.g., ASTM C1577, C478, C858).
Familiarity with dry-cast and wet-cast production methods a plus.
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
Ability to read blueprints, mix designs, and project specifications.

Responsibilities

Perform daily quality inspections on raw materials and finished products.
Conduct concrete testing including slump, air content, compressive strength, and unit weight per ASTM/NPCA/PCI.
Monitor batch plant operations to verify adherence to mix designs.
Inspect forms, reinforcement placement, and dimensional tolerances during casting.
Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
