Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production or perform owner and agency inspections. You will verify prestressing operations, review mix designs and strength records, and accept or reject finished products to maintain PCI and DOT certifications.

The role requires PCI Level II QC certification with 2+ years in a certified plant, knowledge of PCI MNL-116/117, and preferred ACI strength testing

Qualifications

• PCI Level II Quality Control certification current with 2+ years in a certified precast plant.
• Working knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specs for your state.
• ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician certification preferred.
• Able to hold a production line to the specification under heavy schedules.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand certification, tensioning, elongation, detensioning sequence, transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products against specifications and shop drawings.
• Maintain plant QC records for PCI plant certification and DOT approval.
• Supervise Level I inspectors and review their records.
