Job summary

Tindall Corporation, a leading precast concrete manufacturer, seeks a cost estimator at the Petersburg, VA plant. You will analyze contract documents, determine precast scope, and prepare estimates to support bids and planning.

Responsibilities include using Excel to calculate plant, freight, and field costs, interfacing with sales, planning, engineering, and customers, and creating 3-D concepts from 2-D drawings while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (2 year) or equivalent experience.
• 1 to 3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents to determine precast scope of work.
• Prepare estimates for management, sales, planning, engineering, and field operations in scheduling work and bids.
• Utilize Excel to determine plant, freight, and field operation costs.
• Visualize and/or create 3-D precast concepts from 2-D contract drawings.
• Interact with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
