Job summary

Tindall Corporation in Petersburg, VA is seeking a cost estimator to analyze contract documents, determine precast scope, and prepare estimates for bids. You will review plans, assemble cost data for plant, freight, and field operations, and collaborate with Sales, Planning and Engineering to resolve issues.

You will perform precast takeoffs using Excel, visualize cost drivers, and develop 2-D to 3-D concepts to support competitive proposals while ensuring accuracy and timely deliverables for

Qualifications

• Associate degree (2 years) or an equivalent combination of experience/training is needed.
• 1 to 3 (+) years of related experience is required.
• Must be able to prepare cost estimates and takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents to determine precast scope.
• Perform accurate takeoffs of precast components.
• Use Excel to calculate plant, freight, and field costs.
• Prepare estimates for bids and discuss with sales and clients.
• Create 3-D precast concepts from 2-D drawings.
• Collaborate with teams to support cost estimates.
