Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in Cape Coral, FL, seeks an Estimator to handle multiple project estimates, collaborating with sales, engineering and vendors to ensure costs are covered and designs meet specifications. The role requires reading engineered drawings, managing bids, coordinating turnovers, and supporting change orders, invoicing and production reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• Estimating/Project Management experience preferred, ideally within the construction or precast concrete industry but not required for the right individual.
• Demonstrated ability to manage several large to small, complex bids/projects simultaneously.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Associates Degree / Civil Engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience a plus but not required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and implement our management systems.
• Ability to understand engineered drawings, blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for estimating multiple projects concurrently and delivering proposals to the sales staff before bid date.
• Contact vendors for pricing and review quotes to meet designs/specifications.
• Review proposals with sales staff to ensure estimating accuracy and project requirements.
• Lead turnover meetings at sale to confirm scope, values and scheduling.
• Assist with Change Order Proposals requested by owner/client/architect or internally.
• Monitor progress and help resolve obstacles to keep projects on schedule.
• Assist with inside sales, production reporting, and invoicing as required.
