Job summary

Tindall Corporation, a leading precast concrete manufacturer in the southeastern U.S., is seeking an inspector to ensure product quality from pre-pour to final curing. The role focuses on enforcing safety, quality rules, and precise testing of concrete properties, with attention to shop drawings and curing procedures.

Responsibilities include bed-set inspection, documenting nonconformances, and coordinating with engineering for repairs.

Qualifications

• Must follow safety and quality rules and processes.
• Experience with concrete testing or inspections is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-pour and post-pour inspections to ensure tolerance compliance as per shop cards and PCI.
• Perform concrete testing: slumps, unit weights, air content, release cylinders, 28-day cylinders.
• Inspect bed setup for reinforcement placement per shop drawings, including strands and connections.
• Note nonconforming items and notify responsible personnel for conformance.
• Set up steam clocks to ensure proper curing temperature.
• Monitor finishing procedures in finishing shed.
• Inspect final products; tag conforming items green and nonconforming items red with engineering approval.
