Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, seeks a Quality Control Inspector to perform on-floor quality checks and monitor production activities. This union role ensures compliance with spec requirements and proper batching, placement and curing of precast concrete products.

Responsibilities include documenting testing records, communicating deviations to the QC Manager, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while supporting training and continuous improvement within a fast-paced production

Qualifications

• Precast industry or related experience preferred.
• ACI Field Tech I QC certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret shop/engineering drawings.
• Strong record-keeping and MS Office skills.
• Team player with good attendance and initiative.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Verify procedures follow specification requirements by communicating with production leads.
• Monitor daily production activities for proper batching, placement and curing.
• Review test data for compliance with specification requirements.
• Notify QC Manager of any deviations.
• Control movement of items through production stages.
• Document tests and inspections in an organized system.
• Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections of concrete products.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and support training as needed.
