Job summary

Volkert is looking for an experienced Precast Concrete Inspector to support our Mid-Atlantic Region in New Castle, PA. This full-time role involves working in a precast plant, office, and outdoor environments, inspecting concrete casting and performing tests per PennDOT standards.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, relevant certifications, and at least one year of inspection experience. Key benefits include medical, dental, 401(k) matching, and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in precast concrete inspection.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle report.

Responsibilities

• Inspect truck load tickets for aggregate and concrete.
• Document and inspect concrete casting construction work.
• Perform materials testing in the field and precast plant.

Skills

ACI Field Testing Technician – Grade 1 Certification

Precast concrete inspection experience

Ability to interpret drawings and specifications

NETTCP Precast Inspector or PCI Level II certification

Education

High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
