Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in technical sales within infrastructure-related electrical products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with civil and electrical engineering firms, distributors, contractors, municipalities, developers, DOT contacts, and other industry partners.
• Identify new project opportunities and grow Mack Industries’ presence within electrical, communications, and underground infrastructure markets.
• Provide market insights regarding infrastructure opportunities, including data centers, grid upgrades, and new power generation.
• Build relationships early in the project lifecycle to influence specifications within project plans.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities.
• Meet or exceed territory-based sales and specification targets.
• Conduct Lunch & Learns, technical presentations, and customer meetings to educate customers and industry professionals.
• Prepare quotations and sales proposals and follow up to convert opportunities into orders.
• Track projects from early design through bidding, production, and delivery.

Mack Industries is looking for a Precast Concrete Electrical Sales professional to drive sales growth of precast concrete structures used in electrical, communications, and underground infrastructure applications.

In this role, you’ll work directly with electrical contractors, distributors, civil and electrical engineers, municipalities, developers, DOTs, utilities, and other industry partners to identify opportunities and influence projects early in the design process. Through technical engagement, education, and product advocacy, you’ll help position Mack Industries’ solutions from concept through delivery.

This is a highly collaborative, field-based role that serves as a key liaison between engineering, sales, estimating, production, and operations, coordinating projects across multiple Mack Industries plants.

Territory: This role represents our production facilities serving Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, West Virginia, Western New York, Eastern Kentucky, and Western Pennsylvania.

What You’ll Do

Business Development & Market Growth

• Develop and maintain relationships with civil and electrical engineering firms, electrical installers, distributors, contractors, municipalities, developers, DOT contacts, and other industry partners.
• Identify new project opportunities and grow Mack Industries’ presence within the electrical, communications, and underground infrastructure markets.
• Provide market insights regarding near- and intermediate-term infrastructure opportunities, including data centers, grid upgrades, and new power generation.
• Build relationships early in the project lifecycle to influence and secure product specifications within project plans.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to identify new opportunities.
• Meet or exceed territory-based sales and specification targets.

Technical Sales & Customer Support

• Conduct Lunch & Learns, technical presentations, and customer meetings to educate customers and industry professionals.
• Provide technical guidance on product selection, layout, and system design.
• Prepare quotations and sales proposals and actively follow up to convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
• Partner with the regional sales team and estimating to convert specifications into awarded work.
• Support quoting strategies and project positioning throughout the sales cycle.
• Represent Mack Industries at industry events and professional organizations.

Project & Internal Coordination

• Track projects from early design through bidding, award, production, and delivery.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, production, logistics, estimating, and sales teams.
• Coordinate projects across multiple plants based on capacity and geography.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, project tracking, and activity reporting.
• Serve as a key point of communication between customers and internal teams to help keep projects moving forward.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in technical sales within infrastructure-related electrical products.
• Strong understanding of concrete structures used for electrical systems and construction plans/specifications.
• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• Experience working with and/or existing relationships with electrical contractors, distributors, DOTs, municipalities, electrical power utilities, developers, or other industry partners preferred.
• Precast concrete or underground infrastructure experience is a plus.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience using spreadsheets, databases, CRM systems, and sales tracking tools.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and recommend effective solutions.
• Strong understanding of customer service principles and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of business and sales concepts.
