Job summary

Fabcon Precast in Minnesota is seeking a Drafter I to create precast elevations and a design set for engineers, a customer approval set, and a final field set with production and vendor drawings. You will layout precast units with CAD, coordinate with Architects, Engineers, and Contractors, and prepare final sets for field use while ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.

Requires a two-year drafting degree, proficiency in AutoCAD, and strong communication with internal and external teams to meet

Qualifications

• Two-year technical college degree related to drafting or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints, customer sketches, and specifications.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Layout precast units with CAD to correlate with plans, specs, addenda, and bid package.
• Recommend efficient and cost-saving panel layouts.
• Communicate with Architects, Engineers, General Contractors, Steel Vendors, and Outsource Companies; internal contacts as needed.
• Document changes or concerns and forward to the job team.
• Input ideas to streamline processes and help improve standards.
