Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time Preadmission Assessment support role at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital. The position supports scheduling across departments, coordinates tests and treatments, and uses EMR systems to manage patient records. Training is provided, and the schedule runs with no weekends or holidays.

The ideal candidate will have HP experience preferred, strong communication skills, and attention to detail to ensure accurate patient data and smooth operations during day shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED/HSED required.
• Health Care experience preferred (hospital/clinic)
• Medical Terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tests and treatments across nursing units to schedule tests and treatments.
• Facilitate communications to support patient care using multi-line phones and hospital systems.
• Maintain knowledge of EMR and ordering procedures; process daily charges as needed.
• Assemble chart forms for admissions, transfers, discharges and expirations; obtain records for transfers.
• Verify demographic and registration data in medical records; ensure accuracy of patient information.
• Maintain positive customer relations and respond to requests promptly.
• Ensure age-appropriate care information is used to meet patient needs as outlined.
