Northwest Medical Center Tucson is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Pre-admissions team in Surgical Services. The LPN assesses patients preoperatively by phone and in person, collects health history and anesthesia risk information, draws labs, and supports our surgical patients with high-quality care.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with RNs and the surgical team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of LPN experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles and patient care practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision, including vitals and ADLs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document care and assessments accurately in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols.
