Job summary

St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX, part of St. David’s HealthCare, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in partnership with providers and the care team.

The role emphasizes compassionate, personalized care within established nursing practices and a focus on safe outcomes. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, onsite, with opportunities to advocate for patients and contribute to a Magnet-accredited facility known for high safety and quality

Qualifications

• RN license required
• BLS/CPR within 30 days of start date
• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide exceptional care by responding to patient requests and proactively meeting needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up, translating medical terminology as needed
