Jefferson-Lewis-Hamilton-Herkimer-Oneida BOCES is seeking a qualified Career and Technical Education instructor to collaborate with teachers and industry partners to design project-based activities aligned with Common Core standards. The role focuses on developing 21st-century skills through career exploration across the 16 national clusters.

Candidates must hold NYS Certification in any CTE area; dual certification in an academic area is preferred.

• Must possess NYS Certification in any Career and Technical Education area.
• Dual Certification in an academic area preferred.
• Experience or training in project-based learning preferred; industry experience welcome.
• Certification as a Career and Technical Education instructor is a prerequisite for an interview.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a teacher assistant and a team of educators to provide career exploration through a project-based integrated approach.

• Collaborate with English and Social Studies teacher and local industry representatives to develop project-based, problem solving activities that align to the Common Core Learning Standards
• Develop students 21st Century skills in the context of exploration of the 16 national career clusters
