Job summary

Morgan & Morgan in Chicago, IL seeks a Pre-Suit Attorney to handle day-to-day pre-litigation work and guide clients through the case process. You will draft and file pre-litigation documents, oversee liability approvals, and manage a team of Case Managers while focusing on personal injury and general liability cases.

The role reports to the Pre-Suit Operations Manager and requires strong leadership, excellent writing and oral advocacy, and a drive to join a trial team.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of all pre-litigation work.
• Complete the Flip-to-Lit approval.
• Guide clients through the case process.
• Drafting and filing of pre-litigation documents.
• Complete TD approval for liability issues.
• Oversee settlement negotiations and the formation of demand packages.
• Manage the release approval process.
• Manage a team of 6-10 Case Managers.
• Focus on personal injury cases, primarily general liability.
• Drive compliance and KPIs amongst team.
• EUOs, PIP statements, recorded statements.
