Job summary

Apple's Graphics, Games, and Machine Learning team in Cupertino seeks a senior engineer to influence and lead new features in Metal and Metal compute frameworks through our next‑generation GPU hardware roadmap. Qualifications

  • BS/MS/PhD or equivalent in CS or related field with 5 years experience.
  • Strong grasp of GPU compute APIs (Metal, CUDA, OpenCL) and software development.
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, CoreML) and ML fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of OS, computer architecture, and CPU/GPU programming.
  • Strong C/C++ programming background.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver software representing Apple's roadmap for compute and ML technologies during hardware development.
  • Design APIs enabling developers to leverage new hardware features simply.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align software and hardware roadmaps with state-of-the-art features and performance.
  • Contribute to bring-up and verification of new chips and products using our GPUs.
