Job summary

USD Head Start in Dakota Valley, SD seeks a Center Teacher to guide a classroom of 16 preschoolers ages 3–5, fostering social, emotional, and early academic development. The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, in a 9.5‑month term with hours 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., 100% time.

Qualifications include a BA in Early Childhood Education or equivalent with endorsements; experience with young children is essential. Benefits include health insurance, paid leave and holidays, SDRS retirement contributions.

In this role, you’ll guide a classroom of 16 children ages 3–5, helping them build the social, emotional, and early academic skills that set the foundation for lifelong learning.
