Job Summary

This pre-sales role involves working with Gluware and customers to address enterprise networking automation challenges. The ideal candidate has pre-sales experience, programming skills, and network expertise, and enjoys working with new technology in a fast-paced environment. Daily interactions include customer network engineering and operations teams. Reports to the Vice President of Pre-sales and Service Delivery. Sales experience is essential; this is not a software development role. Compensation includes base salary plus sales commissions, with On Target Earnings of $240,000 annually. Multiple openings are available for remote work with travel to customer sites. Locations: Washington DC, Raleigh Durham.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  1. Support the sales team to secure technical wins in complex network automation campaigns.
  2. Design solutions addressing customer challenges using the Gluware platform integrated with third-party solutions like ITSM, CMDB, IPAM, and CI/CD pipelines.
  3. Perform product demonstrations for customers and partners.
  4. Lead proof of concept (PoC) engagements with prospects.
  5. Deliver custom automations to PoC prospects and existing clients.
  6. Create and present targeted technical sales presentations.
  7. Collaborate with engineering, service delivery, sales, and support teams to ensure excellent customer experience.
  8. Work with peers to solve unique customer challenges.
  9. Maintain awareness of market trends in network, cloud, and competitive technologies.
  10. Act as a trusted automation advisor to customers.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 5 years of experience with enterprise network architectures, including cloud, data center, SD-WAN, and related technologies.
  2. At least 3 years of customer-facing pre-sales experience.
  3. Proficiency in CLI configurations, regular expressions, and scripting in JavaScript or Python.
  4. Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  5. Experience with data modeling using JSON, YANG, YAML, or XML.
  6. Hands-on experience with REST API integrations.
  7. Knowledge of Linux administration.
  8. Understanding of public and hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  9. Familiarity with virtualization and container solutions.
  10. Strong communication and presentation skills.
  11. Results-oriented problem solver willing to work in a growth-stage company.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, information systems, engineering, or equivalent.
Work Experience & Travel
  • Up to 30% travel required.
