SupportFinity™ is looking for a Pre-registration Representative in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will communicate with patients to facilitate the pre-registration process, ensuring their needs are met and vital information is collected accurately.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

You can help us with that mission in the pre‑registration department as a Pre‑registration Representative. Your pleasant, friendly demeanor will set the tone as you contact patients and family members to complete pre‑registration and other documents, help patients understand their liability, promptly return patient phone calls and inform patients of important items to bring to their procedures.

Responsibilities

• Contacts patients and/or family members to complete pre‑registration of demographic/visit information and documents outcomes per documentation standards.
• Informs patient of estimated patient liability within regulatory required timelines and collects appropriate co‑payments, coinsurances, deposits and payments over the phone.
• Returns patient phone calls, answers patient inquiries regarding logistical information, informs patients of critical items to bring to the procedure.
• Completes assigned administrative and downtime activities.
• Works in collaboration with most Revenue Cycle departments and scheduling departments to create accurate medical and financial records.
• Collects and provides required legal documentation to meet State and Federal compliance regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A minimum of two years college education including satisfactory completion of college level Health Records coursework preferred.

Experience

• A minimum of one year of healthcare experience or equivalent education in at least one of the following areas required:
  • Pre‑Registration
  • Admitting
  • Patient Access
  • Applicable clerical support experience
• Six months customer service experience required.
• Previous registrar and third‑party payer experience preferred.
• An understanding of health plan and benefit structures preferred.

Licensure

• National Certification of CHAA preferred.

Pay Range

USD $20.83 - USD $29.79 /Hr.
