Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 1+ year experience in Epic.
• Preferred: 1+ year experience in pre-registration or prior authorization.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve un-contacted patients and pre-register/pre-certify hospital services.
• Conduct telephone interviews to collect demographic and payer information.
• Enter patient data into registration systems.
• Verify third-party payer eligibility and related details.
• Coordinate with clinics and patient financial advisors on coverage issues.
• Contact payers, employers, and other parties for pre-certification and authorization as needed.
• Perform professional, clinical and/or technical competencies as assigned.
• Follow departmental policies and adapt duties as required.
