Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for scheduled appointments, documenting all required information in the appropriate systems.
• Obtain prior authorizations for office visits, diagnostic services, and procedures in accordance with payer guidelines and organizational protocols.
• Confirm referral requirements for Medicaid, Tricare, VA, and IHS patients, ensuring all paperwork is complete prior to the appointment.
• Communicate with patients to clarify insurance details, request missing information, and provide guidance on next steps as needed.
• Collaborate with clinic staff and scheduling teams to resolve coverage issues that may affect appointment readiness.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality and privacy standards when handling sensitive patient and insurance information.
