Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain documentation with latest approved information.
  • Track changes affecting cost, materials, or timelines.

Job description

We are Pacific Athletic Wear, a sports garment manufacturer with over 30 years of experience working with world-renowned brands on providing athlete’s with high performing garments. We are looking for an enthusiastic, high energy dynamic and detail oriented professional to join our Product Development & Pre-Production Team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing raw materials, ensuring accuracy of BOMs and costing, coordinating customer approvals, and starting the production process by confirming all materials are available and ready. This role owns execution from the time Pre-Production receives production-ready styles through “clear to cut” stage, collaborating with the Pre-Production Supervisor to ensure the final approved Pre-Production package is complete, current, executable and aligned with schedule and margin targets.

Overview of Responsibilities
  • Calculate material requirements using BOMs and production consumption.
  • Plan and maintain material ordering timelines based on production schedules and vendor lead times.
  • Issue purchase orders and coordinate with vendors for fabrics, trims, labels, and packaging.
  • Track material deliveries and communicate delays or potential risks.
  • Review tech packs and BOMs to ensure all materials and specifications are complete for production.
  • Coordinate with customers and internal teams on approvals, material status, and timelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure teams are working from the latest approved information.
  • Track and communicate changes that impact cost, materials, or production timelines.
  • Prepare production launch packets with all required materials and documentation.
  • Monitor production readiness and elevate issues that could delay the production start.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in the Garment Manufacturing Industry
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement and purchasing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Product Development within the Garment Manufacturing Industry.
  • Knowledge in garment construction.
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to build trackers and analyze data.
  • Understanding of BOMs, material consumption, and purchasing processes.
  • Ability to review tech packs and identify missing details or potential production issues.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills when working with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and follow-up habits.
  • Proactive problem-solver who identifies risks and communicates solutions.
