Job summary

Redmax Events LLC is seeking a hands-on print production specialist to drive large-format output from file prep to finished pieces. You’ll operate Colex, Roland, and HP printers, ensure color accuracy, and maintain workflows for fast-moving events.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate large-format equipment (Colex Flatbed Cutter, Roland VersaWorks printers, HP R1000 Onyx) to keep jobs moving
• Turn supplied artwork into clean print-ready files with layouts, marks, bleeds, scales, and templates
• Review client-provided files before production to ensure accuracy and readiness
• Coordinate with design, production, and fabrication when priorities shift or last-minute changes occur
• Move between digital production and hands-on fabrication to complete custom jobs
• Monitor output quality, setup, and machine performance to catch issues early
• Keep equipment ready through routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Help shape the print department by improving file intake, approvals, and handoffs to SOPs

How You'll Get To Contribute

As we’re growing the print side of the business, you’ll help turn it into a real department with a stronger process, cleaner handoffs, fewer reprints, and less “where did that file go?” energy. You’ll take client ideas, internal event needs, and last-minute add-ons from file prep to finished output, using your print production judgment to make sure the work is set up right, runs clean, and is ready when the event needs it.

What You’ll Get To Do

• Keep large-format work moving by running a variety of print and finishing equipment, including Colex Flatbed Cutter, Roland printers with VersaWorks, and HP R1000 with Onyx.
• Turn supplied artwork and designs into clean print-ready files by setting up layouts, registration marks, cut lines, bleeds, scale, print specs, graphic templates, and installation guides.
• Reduce reprints and messy surprises by reviewing client-supplied files for accuracy, resolution, color, material fit, and whether the job is ready to run before it hits production.
• Help fast-moving event work make it out the door by coordinating with design, production, and fabrication when priorities shift or a last-minute add-on lands in the queue.
• Get custom jobs across the finish line by moving between digital production and hands-on fabrication when the work needs both.
• Protect the final output by monitoring quality, consistency, setup, and machine performance while jobs are running, so issues get caught before they cost time and material.
• Keep the equipment ready to rock by handling routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting when something needs attention.
• Help build a cleaner print department by influencing how files are received, approved, produced, wrapped, handed off, and turned into repeatable SOPs.

Who You Are

• You have hands-on Colex Sharpcut CNC experience and can operate it, set up jobs, and troubleshoot the usual production issues.
• You have real pre-press production and digital print setup experience, including print production workflows, color management, and material types.
• You can take a supplied file and see what needs to happen before it becomes a real printed piece: scale, resolution, cut paths, bleeds, material, machine setup, and whether the whole thing is going to behave once it hits production.
• You like having your hands on both sides of the work: the technical setup that makes the job run clean and the creative problem-solving that helps custom work come together.
• You’re good at keeping production moving like a stage manager for machines: choosing what runs when, what gets set up next, and what has to be ready before the next piece can happen.
• You’re steady when a last-minute event request strolls in with zero concern for the schedule, and you can work it into the day without losing track of what’s already moving.
• You’re comfortable in a department that's still being built, where not every answer is already written into an SOP, and your brain starts building a better path when you spot messy handoffs, missing approvals, or repeated reprint issues.
• You crave custom, creative, high-variety work because running the same boring repeat job every day would feel like a prison sentence.
• You're at home with an outgoing, joking team that still knows when it’s time to lock in, stay calm, and get the work done.

Even Better, But Not Required

• Experience with Roland printers, HP R1000, VersaWorks, Onyx, Adobe Illustrator, wide-format printing and finishing equipment, or reading Fusion 360 or similar 3D model files.

Typical Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. About 95% of the job happens in the office, with occasional weekend/evening OT and event installs, where you’ll get to see the thing you helped make finished, staged, lit up, and ready for people to be impressed by.
