Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a staff nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care across the patient lifecycle. You will perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, coordinate activities, and document care while collaborating with the health-care team to improve patient outcomes.

The role requires graduation from a nursing program with an active Georgia RN license and BLS certification; advanced specialty certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• New Graduates eligible.
• Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC Multistate License with BLS.
• Advanced certification in specialty preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes.
• Performs patient assessments and collects health data.
• Organizes data into a care plan and identifies outcomes.
• Carries out and coordinates plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Oversees activities of ancillary and support staff.
• Documents patient care in the medical record.
• Communicates concerns to Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, or physician.
