Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare's Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care from birth through the lifecycle, following the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.

You will perform patient assessments, develop care plans, coordinate care with the healthcare team, supervise staff, educate patients and families, document care, and communicate with the Charge Nurse and physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC Multistate license. BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced specialty certification encouraged.
• New graduates eligible.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and collects data regarding health history.
• Organizes data into a plan of care and identifies expected outcomes.
• Carries out and coordinates the plan of care to ensure quality nursing care.
• Oversees activities of ancillary and support team members.
• Documents patient care and communicates with the Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager and/or physician.
