Job summary

Digestive Health Center of Bedford is seeking a Temporary Pre/Post Registered Nurse for an on-site assignment in Bedford, TX. The role involves pre/post-procedure care, patient assessments, medication administration, and education to ensure safe discharge and optimal outcomes.

The RN must have an active license, 2+ years of RN experience, and current BLS/ACLS certifications. GI/endoscopy/PACU/OR experience is preferred. Schedule is Monday–Friday with outpatient setting and team-based environment.

Qualifications

• RN license current and unrestricted.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of two years RN experience.
• GI/Endoscopy, PACU, OR, or Acute Care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-procedure and post-anesthesia recovery care while monitoring patient status.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and communicate changes in condition appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and nursing standards.
• Deliver patient and family education, including discharge instructions and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, infection prevention practices, and clinical standards.
• Support a safe, clean, and efficient clinical environment.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Promote patient, physician, and colleague satisfaction through professional and compassionate care.
