Oakes Auto Group is seeking a Vehicle Buying Center Agent to source and purchase quality pre-owned vehicles directly from customers and private-party sellers. You will manage the acquisition process from initial contact to paperwork and pickup, coordinating with internal teams to meet inventory needs in the Kansas City area.

The role emphasizes negotiation, proactive sourcing, and detailed administration while supporting growth across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Automotive sales, vehicle acquisition, appraisal, or used-car experience preferred.
• Strong sales and customer service experience is valuable.
• Ability to balance sourcing, negotiation, and paperwork with inventory strategy.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase vehicles directly from customers outside trade-ins.
• Negotiate offers and close acquisitions aligned with inventory needs.
• Respond to inbound purchase leads from AccuTrade and digital channels with urgency.
• Proactively source vehicles via public marketplaces (Facebook, Craigslist, etc.).
• Coordinate pickup, titles, bills of sale, and transfer paperwork.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, offers, and purchases.
• Align with Trade Control Desk Manager on inventory priorities.
