• Compliance: Ensure vehicles are inspected, appraised and meet safety/quality standards before inventory placement.

We are currently seeking a motivated, experienced, and results-driven Pre-Owned Vehicle Acquisition Buyer to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:
The Pre-Owned Vehicle Acquisition Manager will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring pre-owned vehicles. This role requires a deep understanding of the automotive market, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for ensuring a robust selection of high-quality used cars. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in vehicle acquisition and a strategic approach to inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Acquisition: Source and acquire high-quality pre-owned vehicles through various channels, including trade-ins, our service department, private sellers and internet traffic.
• Market Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends to identify high-demand vehicles and determine the ideal mix of inventory to meet customer needs and maximize profitability.
• Negotiation: Work closely with the Used Car Manager to negotiate favorable terms for vehicle acquisitions while ensuring adherence to company standards and profit margins.
• Inventory Management: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to ensure optimal inventory levels, regularly reviewing stock to maintain variety and freshness in the vehicle lineup.
• Performance Metrics: Track and report on acquisition performance, including purchase cost, inventory turnover, and sales conversion rates, to ensure financial targets and departmental goals are met.
• Compliance: Ensure all vehicles are properly inspected, appraised, and meet the necessary safety and quality standards before being placed in the dealership inventory.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure smooth vehicle transactions and successful sales efforts.
