Job summary

Azul Hospitality Group is seeking a Director of Engineering for a pre-opening hotel in Phoenix. You will lead all maintenance operations, implement policies, and coordinate with GMs and department managers to ensure every aspect of the engineering function meets high standards before opening.

The role requires management and maintenance experience in hospitality, strong budgeting, safety knowledge, and the ability to recruit and train staff for a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of Management experience required.
• Three to five years of Engineering/Maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Two years post high school education minimum; English fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Maintenance operations and enforce policy compliance for quality of products and services.
• Prepare annual budget and monitor expenses; take corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure cleanliness and ongoing maintenance of the physical property through inspections and preventive programs.
• Develop and monitor PM programs for guest rooms and public spaces to ensure safety and comfort.
• Manage Safety Program and OSHA compliance; coordinate with departments and architects/contractors as needed.
