Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant clinical practice as a nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient medical records for preoperative testing results and exercise nursing judgement to identify barriers to optimization.
• Perform accurate review of clinical factors and past medical history.
• Conduct patient health interviews to collect data and identify issues impacting surgical optimization.
• Promote patient safety by assessing needs in preparation for day of surgery.
• Coordinate with care team to ensure timely preoperative clearance and safe discharge.
