Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN or LPN license.
• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing preferred.
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred; will train.
• Experience in PACU or ambulatory surgery preferred.
• Proficient with navigating multiple EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves scheduling request slips from ASC surgery scheduler.
• Prepares and maintains paper charts per protocol.
• Retrieves lab results from EMRs and databases (NextGen, Epic, Cerner).
• Notifies physician offices of missing information or cancellations.
• Maintains departmental standards and responds to messages promptly.
• Completes Pre-op Phone Assessment in the pre-operative record.
• Supports Prep/PACU staff and maintains competencies.
