Job summary

Skylands Gastro in Denville, NJ seeks a Per Diem Scheduling Coordinator to support pre-operative flow and care team coordination. This role involves coordinating referrals, labs, imaging, and patient communications to ensure smooth patient experiences.

You will manage scheduling, verify consents, and ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of documentation, while interfacing with providers and patients on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a similar role.
• EMR experience, Athena preferred.
• Strong medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Obtain referrals/pre-certification of procedures.
• Schedule required labs, radiology exams, and cardiac workups.
• Confirm clearance and consents are in order and fax to OR.
• Finalize schedule, coordinate add-ons and equipment needs.
• Communicate with patients while maintaining HIPAA/ OSHA guidelines.
