Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand is seeking a Registered Nurse to advocate for patients and provide continuity of care across adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to meet facility goals and safety standards, performing comprehensive assessments and planning patient-centered care.

The role requires Texas RN licensure, BLS, ACLS (or within 3 months of hire), and a minimum of two years on a surgical floor with spine and joint cases.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Texas with current credentials.
• BLS and ACLS certification or completion within 3 months.
• Minimum 2 years of staff nurse experience on surgical floors, spine and joints.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physiologic, psychological, and cognitive domains.
• Formulate and prioritize a goal-directed care plan based on nursing diagnoses.
• Deliver care through nursing processes to achieve outcomes.
• Set priorities using patient needs and available resources.
• Respond calmly in emergencies following protocols and document events.
• Apply knowledge of medical/surgical care, medications, labs, and safety.
• Demonstrate problem identification and sound decision making.
• Document care promptly and accurately in patient records.
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver patient care.
• Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications and participate in mandatory trainings.
• Be flexible and adapt to new ideas and approaches.
