Job summary

Pre-Op Registered Nurse, Surgery Center - Glendale, Working Nurse is seeking a dedicated RN to join our team. In this role you will work closely with the PACU Charge Nurse to plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality pre-operative patient care in a fast-paced setting.

You will provide direct patient care, perform pre/post-operative teaching, manage potential complications, and communicate clearly with patients and families to ensure a positive experience and safety throughout the perioperative

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current BLS certification required
• Working knowledge and experience in PACU from hospital or ambulatory surgery center including direct patient care
• Ability to adhere to work schedule 4x 10 hour shifts a week and manage time appropriately; utilize resources in a timely, organized, and cost-effective manner.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medical record policy and procedure in management of patient information.
• Participates in medical records TQM.Knowledge of patient monitoring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in the pre-operative period.

Job Description

As a Pre-Operating Room Registered Nurse, you'll play a vital role in bringing that mission to life. Working closely with our PACU Charge Nurse in daily clinical operations, you'll help planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient care in the pre-operative period of the patient's surgical experience.

In this role, you will participate in direct patient care including maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment.

You'll perform pre/post-operative teaching to patients and/ or their significant other along with managing patient complications, emergencies, preoperatively, as well as postoperatively. It's crucial that you maintain a professional demeanor for the patient and staff members, effectively communicate and set a positive patient experience for them and their families.

Additionally, you'll be expected to utilize appropriate services when needed to communicate with all staff members and patients with speech and hearing disorders to ensure the highest standards of patient experience and patient safety.
