Job summary

Working Nurse in Glendale, CA is seeking a PACU RN for a full-time role in our Surgery Center. You will support the PACU Charge Nurse in daily clinical operations, plan, direct, coordinate and deliver high-quality, individualized patient care through the pre-operative phase of surgery.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, maintaining a safe environment, pre/post-operative teaching, and effective communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted California RN license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Recent PACU experience (hospital or ambulatory surgery center) with direct patient care and use of patient monitoring equipment.
• Work schedule: 4x10s

Job Description

As a PACU Registered Nurse, you'll play a vital role in bringing that mission to life. Working closely with our PACU Charge Nurse in daily clinical operations, you'll help planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient care in the pre-operative period of the patient’s surgical experience.

In this role, you will participate in direct patient care including maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment. You'll perform pre/post-operative teaching to patients and/ or their significant other along with managing patient complications, emergencies, preoperatively, as well as postoperatively.

It’s crucial that you maintain a professional demeanor for the patient and staff members, effectively communicate and set a positive patient experience for them and their families. Additionally, you’ll be expected to utilize appropriate services when needed to communicate with all staff members and patients with speech and hearing disorders to ensure the highest standards of patient experience and patient safety.
